Billy lived happy life, he woke up each morning and drove his Valve car to work everyday. Once upon a time, there was a land with many freeways and routes, that was ruled by few car companies, and biggest of them was Valve. Do you like fairytales? Well, sit tight and listen closely. Imagine Epic and Valve being car companies. Originally posted by r/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is best subreddit:If you don't understand, here's the thing: Supporting workers who are organizing would really piss off Epic. As consumers, the best thing we can do is support workers' unions in the games industry, like Games Workers Unite, and make unions a common place in our world by building ones in our own workplaces. What does have an impact are workers at these companies organizing labour unions and threatening strike actions if they don't have their demands met. As consumers, it's hard to engage in an organized boycott when 1) your boycott started with misinformation, 2) your boycott favours one company's exploitation over another's, and 3) you all don't actually work for these companies and won't have a serious impact. A lot of companies, including Valve and Epic have had horrible labour practices. Then there's a lack of shopping cart (uh, so?), not getting stickers/achievements for getting 5 headshots (have your teammates congradulate you?) and most importantly, labour exploitation.

If you try to overthrow governments (which we should all be doing because they're all terrible), then don't do it online - meet with people offline to do it. One of the first ways to avoid negative repercussions of this is: DO NOT USE YOUR GAMING COMPUTER TO TRY TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT. Pretty much every country in the western hemisphere has state security that monitors citizens, and using video game platforms is part of that. I'm in a country with a thorough and intense surveillance structure, which includes monitoring people's online activity.

One of the biggest complaints I hear about EGS is "Chinese tracking" which people use interchangeably between Chinese businesses and Chinese government. I think the Steam brand loyalty is silly. Yeah, I got it and I'm going to enjoy it.
